User wants to join group

Hi, 
My users want to see list of groups then they can put request to join. Right now they can not see the groups therefore they don't know how to connect.

If i have 100 users then for me its difficult to send invitation one by one. For me its easy just to approve.

Dear Shoeb,

I hope you are referring to membership subscription. You can enable membership subscription from your portal preferences. With membership subscription, users can join your portal simply by clicking the join now link.

And also you can add a group to your portal so that the members can take part in your portal.

Dear Kim,

      Yes. You can block a user from your portal. Once a user is blocked, the user cannot able to take part in your portal. This will be available only in the paid version of Zoho Discussions. Kindly refer this help document to know how to block a user.

You will not get the moderation panel in free plan itself. To approve the moderated topic, follow the "View this topic" link in notification mail you receive. Kindly upgrade your account to have this feature.

Hi,
I am inviting new user but they are not recieving my invitation. I am sending them to their yahoo and hotmail accounts.

calender not alerting me with emails

would it be in some other folder than my email folder?

Hi Kanabyte-Ron,

We see that you set the reminder notification email-id as " kanabyte-ron (at) yahoo (dot) com", we request you to check your reminders in that email.

In order to change the email-id of the reminder notification navigate to http://calendar.zoho.com > Settings > My Preferences > Email Notify Tab > "change the email-id"

It is so complex and involved to join to become a member of a Discussion forum that virually nobody has gone throught signing up on my forum even though I sent out invitation to mandatory investors involved in a lawsuite.

They email me saying they do not want to set up a Zoho account and give away their information.  Why do they have to set up a Zoho account why not make them comfortable just registering for the Discussion group.  BESIDES, 50% of the time the account registration FAILS.  It's a disaster and unless this is simplimfied I have to swith to another platform because the legal requirements are that the investors have to participate in an open discussion and that your tool's registration hampers!

PLEASE PLEASE simplify joining a Zoho Discussion Group!!!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Since Zoho Discussions is a part of Zoho's product we do maintain users account in Zoho Accounts only. If you like to have your own login mechanism, you can use SSO. Kindly visit this link to know more about SSP

Kindly let us know the difficulty you face while registering to Zoho Discussions. This will be helpful to make the registration process easy. And also let us know when the registration fails. We will fix this in our end.

Thank you Abdul for your quick response.  Could you explain or give an example how SSO would simplify the login before I contact a consultant to work on this.  

Would it not require creating an Zoho account?  What would the steps be with the SSO mechanism in place? Can you provide an example demo or actual SSO implementation.  

I really appreciate your help with this because I love Zoho Discussions and was one of the first Beta testers and Zoho Discussions has become one of my main digital tools to facilitate team work and communications.
